In a dazzling rugby league career spanning eighteen first grade seasons, in both state and national selections, Andrew ‘ET’ Ettingshausen is considered one of the most respected outside backs to have stepped on a football field over the past thirty years. With his blinding pace, backline versatility and rugged good looks, he was a guaranteed drawcard for many adoring fans.
Today ET has etched out a career in television as fishing show host and executive producer of the hugely popular Escape with ET for both the Nine and Ten Networks - now in its tenth series.
Truly passionate about fishing, ET is also actively involved in promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable fishing methods and has created the Sportfishing and Wilderness Lodge on NT’s Groote Eylandt.
ET also takes delight in teaching our anglers of tomorrow the right tips and techniques.
Born out of his many adventures with some of the best professional fishing guides in Australia and the Pacific, his 2008 book ET’s Guide’s Guide to Fishing reveals some of the secrets to angling success. In conversation with local celeb – ‘Phippsy’ (Andy Phipps), Breakfast with ET will be a morning of great footy and fishing yarns for the whole family.
