Janelle McCulloch
In search of sign-posts
Most of us are on a quest to find happiness. Some people meditate. Others buy self-help books, or get drunk and kiss inappropriate people. Janelle McCulloch decided to do something different; living for the day - “I had to find bliss if it killed me!”
Janelle has worked as a journalist in Australia and Europe, as a travel writer, fashion and beauty editor, magazine editor and columnist. Now specialising in design, architecture, travel and style, she writes for many Australia and international publications.
Being a travel addict and obsessive about the ‘best-of’ – everything resulted in her beautifully photographed and researched books including View From the Top: 50 Great Apartments and Slow Coasting: Australia’s Most Beautiful Seaside Hideaways.
Her novel La Vie Parisienne: Looking for Love and the Perfect Lingerie is a discovery of the unusual in Paris and the best in herself.
Realising that she had lost sight of her life, she embarked on a road trip around the USA. One For the Road - her book on travelling to uncover the ‘authentic’ America - in high-heels, is a witty and wonderful adventure.
Have some real fun over lunch with Janelle’s engaging travel stories – in search of sign-posts and happiness. Moderated by Janet De Neefe.
