The Pied Piper
As if the rat infestation in Hamelin isn’t bad enough, poor organisation on the part of the Mayor has paved the way for the egotistical Pied Piper to take advantage of the town in search for fame and fortune. A colourful cast of characters include Mayor Hoffman, a totally incompetent, but well meaning official. Veronica, the local school teacher who endeavours to re-educate the mayor and the Pied Piper.
Trudy, the very clever servant of the Pied Piper and of course the Pied Piper himself an arrogant, mis-guided individual. With the help of the audience, the Piper’s clever assistant manages to rid the town of the rats, straighten out the mayor’s schedule and teach the Pied Piper how responsibility to others often comes with special gifts and talents.
In this delightful participation comedy, children become villagers, school children and those pesky rats.
Jally Productions have once again assembled a fine cast of Sunshine Coast actors for this favourite children’s classic.
